Modern Classic in Lockeland Springs

Brent Hunter

Blending Historic Charm with Contemporary Comfort.

Welcome to our latest project in the heart of East Nashville’s Lockeland Springs neighborhood—a custom home designed to honor the area’s rich architectural history while offering the convenience and comfort of modern living. Nestled within the historic overlay, this five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence is a seamless blend of past and present, crafted with timeless materials and thoughtful details.

Crafting a Craftsman

The exterior of this home speaks to Lockeland Springs’ historic roots with classic forms, traditional materials, and carefully selected finishes. We paid close attention to the surrounding homes to ensure the design felt like a natural addition to the neighborhood. The front façade features a balance of brick and wood elements, echoing the charm of historic East Nashville homes.

Stepping through the front door, you’re greeted with high ceilings, natural light, and inviting warmth—setting the tone for the rest of the home.

Home Interiors

The open living and kitchen area is where history meets contemporary living. A well thought out blend of standard and custom cabinetry alongside oversized windows allow for plenty of natural light, while rich hardwood floors add warmth and character. This space is designed for both entertaining and everyday family life, with seamless transitions between rooms.

We wanted the heart of the home to feel intimate yet spacious, connecting the kitchen’s functionality with the cozy, private office and bedroom that share the main floor. The result is a space that feels both expansive and welcoming.

This Lockeland Springs home is a testament to the idea that honoring the past can beautifully coexist with the present. It reflects the charm and character of historic East Nashville while providing the comforts and design of a modern family home.
