ArchiNerd + Big Picture

ArchiNerd's design 'Give' for 2021-2022 was through a mentorship of Tiphanie White - an amazing high school sophomore at Nashville Big Picture High School.

Tiphanie joined our team on Tuesday's throughout the school year. Her internship activities in 2021 included:

• Researching tiny homes and energy efficient design

• Designing and hand drawing her own tiny home designs

• 3-D Modeling of ArchiNerd projects in Roblox Studio

Tiphanie was already familiar with 3-D modeling, so it didn't take long before she modeling projects for our clients. We decided to concentrate on that skill-set while adding some complexity... that's where coding came in. Roblox was a great platform for that!

Using Roblox Studio, her internship activities in 2022 included:

• Modeling a small town based on the ancient Roman city of Insula

• Modeling an fantastical landscape in the sea along the coast of Insula

• Developing game theory and play strategy that would allow others entertain themselves

• Set up the basic 'parts' to start coding

• Learning and walking through Roblox's Education platform for coding basics

• Lots of YouTube videos to figure out specific programming challenges

• Revised the coding basics to be adaptive and relative to our game play
